QBantaba Family Organizes Picnic
When QCell introduced the QBantaba service, we anticipated that the service would bring people together to discuss issues and build friendship; what we did not anticipate was that these same people, who never knew each other before meeting on the QBantaba platform will organize a movement called the QBantaba Family.
The QBantaba Family Organized a Picnic on 29th May, it was the first activity after several familiarization meetings they organized. The Picnic brought together about one hundred users of the service who were all swept off their feet in excitement as they plunged in the game activities and danced to the soothing sound of music from Senegambian and international artists.
The whole event was ‘dazzling’; you could not identify the QCell employees that were assigned to ‘observe’ from the rest of the family members. There was an instant connection and everyone was woven together in one long family chain.
The food was rich, fresh and delicious; the Senegambian ‘benachin’ was served for lunch followed by a good treat of ‘wonjo’ juice- how could you leave out ‘ebbeh’ from any such gathering? it was spicy and rich in crab meat. When you think you’ve seen enough, you were treated to even more mouth watery foods, the chicken Afra and the chakri – and a combination of all these foods made the plates for the eating competition.
The beach football was exciting with other passers-by taking their time to watch a few tricks from people you wouldn’t expect to play that well. As it got a little darker, you could hear the voice of the one called ‘Ferdy23’ announce over the mike that this was just the beginning and there is more to come from the family!
SUNU BUSS!
