Call Conferencing

With QCell call conferencing, talk to your business associates and family. Or initiate a conference with your friends to discuss reserch work and other social activites. It's cost effective and you can enjoy the clearest network in the sub region.

To Set up

- Make a call the first person you intent to talk, then put that call on hold and make another call and when that call is connected, you activate conferencing. It is that simple you can add up to a maximum of five people to your conference call.


 

Voice Messaging

The voicemail service transforms your telephone into an answering machine and message recording system when you are unable to take call. This service also act as your personal secretary, by taking your call if you are either busy, out of network coverage area or even when your phone is turned off. You can retrieve messages at your own convenience. You can also customize/personalize your voicemail settings to your personal greeting message.

Setting Up Your Voicemail

Call 123 to set up your voice mail and encourage people to leave a personalized message on your QCELL line when you are unreachable. Dial 123 to access all your voice messages. Please do not forget to change your default password (0000) to ensure confidentiality.



Call Forwarding

With QCELL you can divert (forward) your calls on various conditions like: divert when line is busy; divert when out of reach; divert when phone is switched off etc. Why miss another call when you can divert to another QCELL number. You can also divert your Africell, Comium, Gamcel line to your Qcell. This makes it possible for you to be walking around with only one GSM line and thats your Qcell.


 

MISSED CALL ALERT (MCA)

The Missed Call Alert system powers the network with the ability to capture unanswered and uncompleted calls. With Missed Call Alert service mobile subscribers get the insurance to have all missed calls reported even if their phones are switched off, out of network coverage or busy on another call.

Below is the procedure to subscribe to the Miss Call Alert (MCA) for both Postpaid and Prepaid lines.

Postpaid:

To subscribe to the service type mca space r and send it to 144.

When ever your phone is off, busy or unreachable, you will receive a text message advising you of all missed calls.

To deactivate the service, type mca space d and send it to 144.

The monthly charge for this service is D10

Prepaid:

This service is automatically activated on all prepaid lines hence; the user receives a text message to notify him of a missed call. The user can view his missed call by sending SMS: mca space get to 146. To deactivate the service, send an SMS: mca off to 144.

The charge for this service is D1.00 per sms


 

QCELL CHOOSE NUMBER SERVICE

This service enables QCELL customers to choose any number of their choice that falls within the range of 37xxxxx and 39xxxxx. These two ranges are provided for the choosing number service to avoid overlapping of numbers already in the market and those that customers get from this service.

New subscribers can buy the SIM card and get this service for FREE.


 

QCELL PRIVATE NUMBER SERVICE

 

What is a Private Number?

A private number is a telephone number that does not show up to its destinations when it is used for calling any party. The calling party is able to hide its identity from the receiving party. Many customers do request from their GSM service providers to activate their lines as private for various reasons. Not all the reasons behind the private number issues are yet known but, few of them have been discovered pertaining to the interest of the individual.

Some of the reasons why people make their numbers private can be outlined as follows:

  • For security reason: Some customers don’t want their numbers to be apparent to any one except to those whom they would authorize to possess their personal numbers.
  • Intelligence matters: Intelligence agents mostly use private numbers during investigations to camouflage their identity from targeted culprits.
  • Hobby: Some customers use the private number service just as a hobby of hiding their identity and mostly for certain reasons.

Service Cost

The cost for the private number service is a one time fee of only D500 that the customer pays before the service is activated on the SIM.

Service Duration

The service remains active until the customer deactivates it from the SIM Card and rejoins the public subscriber identity module system.
